Summary

Directive #5 final release documentation closeout for v6.2.0 / runtime 4.1.0 (the last release stage). Records the v6.2.0 closeout snapshot + determinations in docs/architecture/status-and-evidence.md: published tag dcb161a + release run 32602984579 + exact asset SHA-256s; four-host byte-exact activation (0 diffs each) with consumed post-install canaries; the runtime 4.1.0 governance-pool widening (#2925) and wire-descriptor disclosure (4de687b8… → e601a455…); and the Tier-3 transition-window receipt-deadlock admin-merge escape. The v6.1.1 snapshot moves to the historical section. Root + plugins/agent-collab/README.md determined verified current (refreshed in the distribution PR).

Testing

  • check_release_consistency.py OK; check-public-export-safety.py --active-tree SAFE.
  • Fragment-only PR (added changelog.d/ fragment; generated CHANGELOG.md compiles at the next release) — CI runs build-changelog.py --dry-run.

Compliance trace

mcp_coverage_gap: NONE
contributor_rights: OPERATOR-CONFIRMED

The READMEs retained pre-release status language (root: 'most recent tagged is
v6.1.1', 'v6.2.0 not yet a tag/release/installation'; plugin: 'Current: 6.2.0
source only; not tagged/released/installed'), false now that v6.2.0 is published
+ four-host activated. Update both to the published+activated state and correct
the plugin README's 'does not alter the native runtime' claim (4.1.0 advance).
status-and-evidence determinations for both READMEs changed verified-current ->
updated. Addresses the Codex review P1.

Addressed the Codex P1 in fd1b6b9: both READMEs updated to the published + four-host-activated v6.2.0 state (removed the pre-release 'most recent tagged is v6.1.1' / 'v6.2.0 not yet a tag/release/installation' / 'source only; not tagged' language) and corrected the plugin README's 'does not alter the native runtime' claim (this release advances the runtime to 4.1.0). The status-and-evidence determinations for both READMEs are now updated rather than verified-current.

Comment thread README.md
Comprehensive sweep of pre-release status language now false post-publication:
root README ('release candidate' -> 'release'; 'Most recent tagged release:
v6.1.1' header -> 'Previous tagged release'); project-estimation.md and
repository-and-release.md ('v6.2.0 development branch', 'has not been tagged/
published/installed/activated', 'most recent tagged remains v6.1.1' -> published
v6.2.0, maintenance evidence version-bound to 6.2.0). The historical v6.1.1
closeout snapshot in status-and-evidence.md is accurate and unchanged.

Addressed both P1s in 19769b0 via a comprehensive pre-release-language sweep: root README ('release candidate'→'release'; 'Most recent tagged release: v6.1.1' header→'Previous tagged release'), project-estimation.md and repository-and-release.md (removed 'v6.2.0 development branch' / 'has not been tagged/published/installed/activated' / 'most recent tagged remains v6.1.1', now published v6.2.0 with the maintenance evidence version-bound to 6.2.0). Verified no stale pre-release phrases remain outside the accurate historical v6.1.1 snapshot.

| `docs/architecture/` | **updated current** | This status snapshot records the v6.2.0 release, the dual-architecture runtime 4.1.0, the governance-pool widening, and four-host activation; the remaining handbook pages describe the direct-runtime lifecycle and boundaries in architecture-neutral terms unchanged by this release. |
| Root `README.md` | **updated** | The current-source paragraph and the project-estimation what's-new note were updated in this closeout to state that v6.2.0 is published and activated on all four hosts (removing the pre-release "not yet tagged/released/installed" language); the runtime 4.1.0 / governance-widening narrative was set in the distribution PR. |
| `plugins/agent-collab/README.md` | **updated** | The `Current:` line and the version-6.2.0 note were updated in this closeout to state the published + activated status and the runtime 4.1.0 advance (removing the "source only; not tagged/released/installed" language); the runtime facts were set in the distribution PR. |
| Generated `CHANGELOG.md` | **verified current** | The release flow compiled the v6.2.0 entry; this post-release closeout leaves generated history unchanged. |

P1 Badge Correct the stale pre-tag changelog statement

This declares the generated history aligned with the exact release, but in this same tree CHANGELOG.md line 95 still says the runtime advance ships under a “not-yet-tagged v6.2.0” package, directly contradicting the newly recorded published tag and release. Since generated history must not be hand-edited, add a governed clarification fragment and do not mark this determination verified until the public changelog no longer presents conflicting publication state.
