Luminaries
Luminaries represents a controllable light fixture.
Properties of luminaries:
- Have one or multiple emitters
An emitter is one source of controllable light emission. It can have multiple channels or just one (One color, RGB, RGBW, to mention a few examples).
MVP Properties of emitters:
- Bit depth (like 8 bit, 12 bit etc)
- Descriptive color (for humans, could be a wavelength, a color name, a color temperature)
- Max current (for power management purposes)
- Brightness (just metadata as of now)
Later properties of emitters:
- Mode of operation (analog, PWM modulation etc., This is mostly just metadata and not important early on)
- Update frequency in case of modulation
- Linearity
- Color correction
