platform

  • [platform] [bug] Python 3.15 support has been added and tested, including minimal changes for full compatibility.

    References: #13477

orm

  • [orm] [bug] Fixed a result-column misalignment bug in ORM-enabled UPDATE statements where synchronize_session="fetch" is in use, either explicitly or because the statement uses constructs such as CTEs that implicitly select for it. Columns in rows returned by .returning() could be returned under incorrect keys (e.g. row[SomeClass.a] returning the value of a different column), a problem most likely to manifest under concurrent workloads. ORM DELETE statements were not affected.

    References: #13439

  • [orm] [bug] Fixed bug where a failed _orm.Session.bulk_insert_mappings(), _orm.Session.bulk_update_mappings() or _orm.Session.bulk_save_objects() call could leave the _orm.Session permanently in a "flushing" state, such as when the transaction could not be begun because a previous flush had left it needing a rollback. Unlike _orm.Session.flush(), the bulk methods set the internal flushing flag and began the transaction outside of the try/finally block that resets it, so that neither _orm.Session.rollback() nor _orm.Session.close() would clear it, and every subsequent flush would raise InvalidRequestError: Session is already flushing. Pull request courtesy Hamody We.

    References: #13485

  • [orm] [bug] Fixed issue where unpickling an ORM object that were loaded using loader options making use of wildcard tokens, such as _orm.load_only() or _orm.raiseload() with "*", would fail with KeyError or IndexError if the process doing the unpickling had not yet constructed a loader path making use of that same token. This would typically be observed when the object were unpickled in a separate process, such as with the spawn or forkserver multiprocessing start methods, the latter of which became the default on POSIX platforms as of Python 3.14. The internal collection of these tokens is now established up front, so that it is identical in every process.

Updates uvicorn from 0.51.0 to 0.52.3

Release notes

Sourced from uvicorn's releases.

Version 0.52.3

Changed

  • Update zttp to 0.0.24 and use its combined receive path, improving HTTP/1.1 request parsing performance (#3067)

Full Changelog: Kludex/uvicorn@0.52.2...0.52.3

Version 0.52.2

Fixed

  • Update zttp to 0.0.22, fixing bodyless request receives and improving HTTP/1 request parsing performance (#3063)

Full Changelog: Kludex/uvicorn@0.52.1...0.52.2

Version 0.52.1

Fixed

  • Complete the closing handshake on server-initiated WebSocket closes in the websockets-sansio and wsproto implementations, waiting for the client's close reply with a 10 second timeout instead of resetting the connection (#3053)
  • Add missing write flow control to the websockets-sansio implementation, preventing data truncation on server-initiated closes with large in-flight payloads (#3048)
  • Handle connection loss while a WebSocket write is waiting on backpressure (#3050)
  • Remove duplicate Content-Type and Content-Length headers from WebSocket denial responses on the websockets-sansio implementation, and deliver non-UTF-8 denial bodies intact (#3041)

Full Changelog: Kludex/uvicorn@0.52.0...0.52.1

Version 0.52.0

This release adds an experimental HTTP/1.1 implementation backed by zttp, a sans-IO HTTP parser I've been developing on the side: a core written in Zig, with bindings to Python. It has been running under a fuzzer for some weeks now, and has been through multiple rounds of security auditing.

It is still experimental, so don't put it in front of production traffic yet. Try it with --http zttp, and please send any feedback to the issue tracker.

Added

  • Add an experimental zttp HTTP/1.1 implementation, selectable with --http zttp (#2979)

Fixed

  • Keep non-ASCII WebSocket request headers intact with websockets 17.0, which encodes them with ISO-8859-1 (#3036)

Updates redis from 8.0.1 to 8.1.0

Release notes

Sourced from redis's releases.

8.1.0

Changes

✨ Highlights

Async maintenance notifications

redis-py now supports server-pushed maintenance notifications in the asyncio stack for both standalone and cluster clients, bringing the async client to parity with the sync implementation. When a Redis deployment signals maintenance events (such as node migration or failover windows), the async client reacts through the maintenance-notifications handler (redis/maint_notifications.py and its async integration under redis/asyncio/), allowing applications to adapt connection handling during maintenance without downtime. (#4177)

Expanded command coverage

This release adds a batch of new command surfaces across core data types and modules:

  • ListsLMOVEM / BLMOVEM for moving multiple elements between lists (#4174).
  • SetsSDIFFCARD and SUNIONCARD cardinality commands (#4171).
  • StreamsMAXCOUNT / MAXSIZE options for XREAD and XREADGROUP (#4173).
  • Time SeriesTS.READ (#4170), TS.QUERYLABELS (#4197), TS.NRANGE / TS.NREVRANGE (#4163), and an exclude_empty (EXCLUDEEMPTY) option for TS.MRANGE / TS.MREVRANGE (#4188).
  • SearchFT.ALIASLIST (#4198) and a COLLECT reducer for aggregations (#4179).
  • Sentinel — replica sentinel aliases (#4127).

🚀 New Features

  • Add replica sentinel aliases (#4127)
  • Add TS.NRANGE and TS.NREVRANGE support to the timeseries command surface (#4163)
  • feat: add TS.READ command support to the timeseries module (#4170)
  • feat: add SDIFFCARD and SUNIONCARD command support (#4171)
  • feat: add MAXCOUNT/MAXSIZE support to XREAD and XREADGROUP (#4173)
  • feat: add LMOVEM and BLMOVEM commands for moving multiple list elements (#4174)

  • feat: add TS.QUERYLABELS support to the timeseries command surface (#4197)
  • feat: add FT.ALIASLIST support (#4198)

⚠️ Experimental

  • feat: add client-side HIMPORT fieldset support for standalone and cluster clients (#4205)

The feature considered unstable and public API might be changed in the future minor version

🐛 Bug Fixes

  • fix: detect closed pooled connection without consuming pending push data (RESP3 + hiredis) (#4156)
  • Fix Sentinel pool capacity loss after failover (#4193)

Updates opentelemetry-api from 1.43.0 to 1.44.0

Release notes

Sourced from opentelemetry-api's releases.

Version 1.44.0/0.65b0

Added

  • opentelemetry-docker-tests: Refactor Docker tests to properly validate contents of exported telemetry (#5220)
  • opentelemetry-exporter-otlp-common: add shared package for common OTLP utilities (#5252)
  • opentelemetry-sdk: add MissingDependencyError exception for declarative configuration and use it for missing optional dependency errors (#5265)
  • opentelemetry-sdk: Add ability to refresh process dependent Resource attributes (#5280)
  • opentelemetry-sdk: add force_flush method to LogRecordExporter ABC (#5294)
  • opentelemetry-sdk: Make it possible to limit the size of stored spans in InMemorySpanExporter (#5296)
  • opentelemetry-sdk: add log record limits environment variables OTEL_LOGRECORD_ATTRIBUTE_COUNT_LIMIT and OTEL_LOGRECORD_ATTRIBUTE_VALUE_LENGTH_LIMIT (#5300)
  • opentelemetry-sdk: add support for file exporter with declarative config (#5311)
  • opentelemetry-sdk: expose SynchronousMultiLogRecordProcessor and ConcurrentMultiLogRecordProcessor publicly (#5327)
  • opentelemetry-sdk: point the declarative configuration package README at the shared language support status matrix in the opentelemetry-configuration repo, so Python conformance status lives alongside the other languages instead of being duplicated per language SDK. (#5347)
  • opentelemetry-sdk: document that Python-implementation extensions (OTEL_PYTHON_* variables) are bypassed when OTEL_CONFIG_FILE is set. The env-var initialisation path is skipped entirely in favour of the declarative file; honouring these alongside a config file is tracked as a follow-up. (#5353)
  • opentelemetry-sdk: wire id_generator from declarative configuration to TracerProvider (#5363)
  • opentelemetry-sdk: Add support for activating instrumentors from a declarative configuration file via the instrumentation/development.python section. Instrumentors can declare a configuration attribute to have their options validated through the same type-coercion pipeline used for SDK component configuration. (#5372)
  • opentelemetry-sdk: add record_min_max option to ExponentialBucketHistogramAggregation, matching the option already available on ExplicitBucketHistogramAggregation and required by the specification (#5377)

Changed

  • opentelemetry-sdk: revert BoundedAttributes RLock back to Lock (#5329)
  • docs: update logs example to use opentelemetry-instrumentation-logging (#5344)
  • opentelemetry-sdk: bump declarative configuration schema to v1.1.0 (#5345)
  • opentelemetry-configuration: declarative configuration moves from opentelemetry.sdk._configuration into the new public opentelemetry-configuration package (opentelemetry.configuration namespace), published experimentally. opentelemetry-sdk[file-configuration] continues to work as an alias that installs opentelemetry-configuration alongside the SDK. (#5356)
  • opentelemetry-api: remove env carrier environment snapshot caching, you now have to pass explicitly the mapping where to get the environment variables from as the EnvironmentGetter.get first argument. (#5366)
  • opentelemetry-semantic-conventions: bump to 1.42.0 (#5410)
  • opentelemetry-semantic-conventions: bump to 1.43.0 (#5413)

Removed

  • opentelemetry-api, opentelemetry-sdk: Removed deprecated Events API/SDK. Use LogRecord with the event_name field set instead. (#5293)

Fixed

  • opentelemetry-sdk: Optimize LogRecord memory in BatchLogRecordProcessor by clearing the Context object before buffering. This is a potentially breaking change for custom log exporters that access context from the exported ReadableLogRecord, as the context will now be an empty Context() instead of the original. (#4977)
  • opentelemetry-sdk: drop non-finite measurements (NaN and Inf) at the instrument level to prevent permanent aggregation poisoning (#5336)
  • opentelemetry-sdk: raise ValueError when ExplicitBucketHistogramAggregation boundaries are not strictly increasing or finite (#5340)
  • opentelemetry-sdk: ProcessResourceDetector no longer collects or emits process.command_args and process.command_line by default since the values are not sanitized and may contain sensitive information. Users who depend on these resource attributes must pass include_command_args=True. (#5364)
  • opentelemetry-exporter-otlp-proto-http: fix the OTLP HTTP metric exporter self-observability metrics over-counting data points when max_export_batch_size splits a batch; each split now reports its own data-point count instead of the whole-batch count. (#5370)
  • opentelemetry-api: Prevent in-place mutation of Context via inherited dict methods (#5399)

opentelemetry-instrumentation-openai-v2 2.4b0

  • Migrate experimental path from deprecated LLMInvocation to InferenceInvocation, using handler.start_inference() and invocation.stop()/invocation.fail() directly (#4502)
  • Use create_duration_histogram and create_token_histogram from opentelemetry-util-genai instead of defining bucket boundaries locally (#4501)
  • Import OTEL_INSTRUMENTATION_GENAI_CAPTURE_MESSAGE_CONTENT from opentelemetry.util.genai.environment_variables instead of re-defining it locally, making opentelemetry-util-genai the single source of truth for this constant. (#4455)
  • Fix compatibility with wrapt 2.x by using positional arguments in wrap_function_wrapper() calls (#4445)
  • Fix ChoiceBuffer crash on streaming tool-call deltas with arguments=None (#4350)
  • Fix StreamWrapper missing .headers and other attributes when using with_raw_response streaming (#4113)
  • Add opt-in support for latest experimental semantic conventions (v1.37.0). Set OTEL_SEMCONV_STABILITY_OPT_IN to gen_ai_latest_experimental to enable. Add dependency on opentelemetry-util-genai pypi package. (#3715)
  • Add wrappers for OpenAI Responses API streams and response stream managers (#4280)
  • Add async wrappers for OpenAI Responses API streams and response stream managers (#4325)
  • Add strongly typed Responses API extractors with validation and content extraction improvements (#4337)
  • Add completion hook support. (#4315)
  • Fix response_format handling: map json_object/json_schema to json output type. (#4315)
