version 1.68 and above do not get installed on firefox-esr ver 115 and above

I tried to reproduce the issue when...

• uBO is the only extension.
• uBO uses default lists and settings.
• using a new, unmodified browser profile.

Description

OS alpine musl based linux 3.21
Firefox version 115 esr

the extension does not get installed saying extension is corrupt.
this problem is with recent current versions.
i can install ver 1.67 and below without any problem.

i uninstalled all extensions, created a new profile, expunged cookes and data but the issue remains with recent versions 1.68 and above.

A specific URL where the issue occurs.

Steps to Reproduce

1. first step download from github, install, version 1.68 and above fail to install.
2. Error, extension is corrupt.
3. Tried to install 1.67 and below, they get installed correctly.

i tried with ver 140 esr, the latest one. That also does not allow addon installation.

That is not the newest version, the newest is 115.37.0, see:

This doesn't sound like a uBO issue, your browser is unable to verify the signed extension. See if you have the same issue with other extensions.

its ver 115.24.0 esr, i am not using latest 115.37.0
so 115.24.0 does not support ubo above ver 1.67.0
