Noting as a thought - it'd be good to see these topics covered in more widely used open source epi training, given it's so fundamental and broadly missing. Eg:
- A module in Epiverse (discussed with Andre previously)
- A page in the Applied Epi R handbook https://www.epirhandbook.com/en/
- A session in the LSHTM epi of infectious disease module
This could just introduce delays as a key dimension of epi data, and how to explore and describe them (i.e. the first half-day of NFIDD / following Charniga best practices), and then point to more resources to learn about now/forecasting.
This could just remix existing material and/or package vignettes eg epidist.
