Null error when opening mod ending with "+" in Windows app

Describe the bug

Trying to install Unlisted resource pack (as instructed in #920) that ends with a "+" but the app gives an error message An error occurred: Cannot read properties of null (reading 'project_type')

This is OK for a Public mod, as the workaround is to just look it up in-app. but my Unlisted resource pack can't be installed.
This can be recreated with a Public pack: https://modrinth.com/resourcepack/vb+

Steps to reproduce

1. in a browser, go to a resource pack's download page, a pack or mod that ends with a "+" like https://modrinth.com/resourcepack/vb+#download
2. Choose "Install with Modrinth app"
3. App loads, but error at the bottom and doesn't load the app

Expected behavior

No error, and your pack/mod is now listed for your instance.

Additional context

also happens with modrinth://mod/vb+ (or my Unlisted resource pack, pvc+)
