Just an explanation if anyone needs it,

i had to make a test at -55C, and it keep disconnecting at -55C.

i saw the library was doing that.

in practice, and my own code

My DS18B20 was able to be reliable up until -64C, i used another calibrated thermometer to check. first fail was as -64C, impossible to use at -67C.

but it's possible to use it at -55C or even at -60C if necessary do the testing with your own. thermometer.

just a heads up in case anyone else had this problem.

I assume the range in the datasheet is a sort of minimum range that works for all sensors. Beyond that range the working / accuracy is not guaranteed..

Question that pops up is how about the upper limit of 125? Is there also a grey area?
Do not have the equipment to test,

the 125C - -55C is the minimum guaranteed, meaning that all of this sensor always will work at this range.

mine in specific was able to operate at -64C, but i would assume that, even the same manufacturer could give you -66C or even -56C max.

i can test later on higher temperature for curiosity, but again it does change withing the same sensor.

i needed to control something at exactly -55C, that is why i need an extra 4 or 5C, and i had dry ice to test, but heating is way easier, i can check later.
