GitHub Copilot CLI 1.0.73 is installed.
Steps to reproduce the behavior
this is what copilot told me when I reported to it about the eternally loading skill 1. 2026-07-21 10:22 PM EDT — You’re right: it is genuinely stalling, but not actually loading the skill. The skill scanner completed immediately, and authentication is working. The logs show Copilot CLI 1.0.73 occasionally freezing later during startup while leaving the misleading “Loading: 1 skill” spinner displayed.
Expected behavior
2026-07-21 10:22 PM EDT — You’re right: it is genuinely stalling, but not actually loading the skill. The skill scanner completed immediately, and authentication is working. The logs show Copilot CLI 1.0.73 occasionally freezing later during startup while leaving the misleading “Loading: 1 skill” spinner displayed.
