please note an important packaging change:
DEB support ends with release v26.4.1. Starting with v26.5.5, we will no longer provide DEB packages for any future releases.
What this means
- v26.4.1 is the last release that includes a DEB package
- From v26.5.5 onward, no DEB packages will be published
- Anyone currently using a DEB installation will no longer receive updates
- These users will need to switch to AppImage in order to continue receiving new versions
Why we’re making this change
We want to reduce packaging complexity and focus our Linux distribution efforts on formats that are easier to maintain across systems.
What’s next
We are already working on a Flatpak package to provide support for even more Linux distributions in the future.
Recommendation
If you are currently using a DEB-based installation, please plan to migrate to AppImage as soon as possible.
