No matter what I try, I cannot get this app to connect to my LG B7 on my local network. The TV is visible on my network inside of Windows, but it won't show up automatically from within ColorControl.
If I attempt to connect to it manually via its IP/MAC address, the TV will get the LG Remote Access prompt and ask me to confirm, but once I hit Yes, ColorControl will say it failed to connect. I've gone through this step half a dozen times now.
- I've tried ensuring that the program has app exceptions through Windows Firewall
- I've tried turning off Windows Firewall
- I've triple-checked that I have the correct .NET runtimes installed
- I've power-cycled the TV and the computer multiple times
- I've launched ColorControl as an admin and made sure that the elevated Windows Service is running
- I've cleanly uninstalled ColorControl (as well as its two folders in AppData and System32) before reinstalling
Unfortunately the only troubleshooting step I can think of that I haven't tried is trying another computer, because I only have one Windows-based computer.
