Feature description
As it stands, the only way to add an entry to the main menu is to go to the features menu and scroll down al the options to the menu entries amount and adjust its value numerically.
This has two problems. The first one is that it's awkward to delete a specific menu entry. Say, I wanted to delete the middle one in a list of 5. I would change that value from 5 to 4, then go to the main menu and readjust all the remaining menu entries accordingly, because it deletes the last entry.
The second option is that if I want to add an entry, I have to increase the value, then go back to the main menu, and then do another action of long pressing the empty menu entry to choose another one.
All these steps could be simplified with a rework of the favorites menu. Right now, the only function of the favorites menu is to reorder entries. That's it. I propose that two new functions be added to this menu: the ability to delete a specific entry, regardless of order, and the ability to create and then select an entry from that menu.
For this, a simple X next to the reordering symbol, to indicate that that entry can be deleted (or trash can), and below all the menu entries, a string of text like "Add new entry". This new button upon pressed, should immediately prompt the user with the search of the specific app they'd like to see there.
With all these functions in mind, it could give the favorites menu a lot of value, where otherwise users only use it to reorder, if they even reorder at all.
Additional information
Below, a mockup. Instead of "add layer" think instead "add entry". I got a mental hiccup from working with the editing software :p
